Competition Types

In all TangotoCUP competitions, there are various types categorized as regional, country, continent, and world competitions.

World Competition: This refers to the T2i World CUP, which is held only once a year in March in Istanbul, where participants can earn the maximum ranking points. The festival will feature a maximum number of globally recognized maestros and orchestras.

Continent Competition: This competition invites 5 to 6 renowned maestros and orchestras. It extends over several days, offering the second highest ranking points. The jury must consist of a minimum of seven members. The winners of this competition will advance directly to the finals of the T2i World CUP. Currently, there is no continent competition taking place.

Country Competition: This competition hosts a minimum of 2 to 3 well-known maestros. The winners will proceed directly to the semi-finals. Examples of this competition include TangotoCUP Moscow/Russia and TangotoCUP Buenos Aires.

Regional Competition: There are no limitations on the maestros invited, although a maximum of two individuals must be from the same country (this rule applies to all TangotoCUP Competitions, and the jury must be international). The winners will advance directly from the quarter-finals. Examples of this competition are TangotoCUP Antalya, Rome, London, St. Petersburg, and Ankara.
